Lady Saints Set for Primetime Showdown at UNA
FLORENCE, AL
– The North Georgia College & State University are set to
play their biggest game of the year tonight in Florence, Alabama,
as the Lady Saints travel to the University of North Alabama to
take on the Lions, in a non-conference Division II match-up.
North Alabama enters the game with a 7-1-1 record, having started
the season 5-0 with five consecutive shutouts, vaulting to the
18th-ranked team in the country before going 2-1-1 over their last
four games, including a 1-0 loss at Newberry College.
North Georgia enters tonight’s game undefeated on the
season, sitting at 4-0-1 overall, having won four consecutive games
as the Lady Saints are off to their best start in school
history.
North Alabama and North Georgia are now both currently receiving
votes in the latest NCAA Division II National Poll, while the Lady
Saints sit fourth in the Southeast Regional Poll, and the Lions are
fourth in the South Regional Poll according to the latest NSCAA
rankings.
The Peach Belt - Gulf South match-up is set for Tuesday, September
22, with kickoff in primetime at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard
Time.
