#1 Saints With Full Day at College World Series

SALEM, VA – The top-ranked North Georgia
softball team is in full swing at the NCAA Division II National
Championships, spending an hour visiting patients at the VA
Hospital before traveling to the Moyer Sports Complex for two hours
of practice.
After arriving in Salem, Virginia, Tuesday evening at 9:30 p.m.,
the #1 Saints got some rest before waking up for breakfast and
departing the hotel at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. The players and
coaching staff traveled to a nearby VA Hospital to deliver flowers
and visit with patients.
The Saints then traveled to the field where they will compete for a
National Championship over the next five days, spending an hour on
the game field before moving to the practice field for an hour.
The team will enjoy a barbeque lunch at the complex before having
the afternoon off. Tonight, all eight teams in the World Series
will convene for a banquet presented by the NCAA where the NFCA
will announce the 2009 Division II All-American team.
