Fowler, Golf Programs Featured on HCS Television
DAHLONEGA, GA – Newly signed head golf
coach Tom Fowler was recently featured on Hall County Sports
Television as Garry Glenn talked with Fowler about the new golf
programs, his recruiting goals, and the honor of having Masters
Champion Tommy Aaron along for the ride as honorary coach.
On the heels of the announcement that North Georgia would add
men’s and women’s golf as NCAA Division II sports
starting in the fall of 2009, Gainesville’s Hall County
Sports Television and sports reporter Garry Glenn caught up with
Fowler and talked about a story that is creating a buzz all over
the state of Georgia.
“I am proud and excited to have been asked to coach for
North Georgia,” said Fowler. “I am looking forward to
coaching a world class team that will proudly serve as ambassadors
for the University, Dahlonega, and the game of golf.”
The North Georgia golf teams will start play in the fall of 2009 and will compete for PBC and NCAA Championships in the spring of 2010.
